Susana Soares

Art Director

Susana began her career in design at Moravian College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Business. While at Moravian, Susana interned at Bailey Design Group, a design studio specializing in strategic branding and design. BDG gave Susana the opportunity to work on projects for clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Aetna, University of Pennsylvania and The Jewish Home & Hospital.

After graduating in 2001, Susana joined the design team at Dowden Health Media. Her projects included Health & Life, a custom health and lifestyle magazine series and NY Spaces, an interior design and architecture magazine.

In 2004, Susana joined Shostak Studios, taking on projects such as the redesign of Shape Magazine, art direction of The Scope for the Weill Cornell Medical College and the launch and art direction of Contribute New York, a magazine about the business of philanthropy. Susana is currently art directing Business Miami for the University of Miami’s School of Business Administration as well as various publications for McGraw-Hill Companies.

Outside of the studio, Susana enjoys the occasional trip out to the Hamptons, picnics in Central Park, playing tennis, jogging along the West Side Highway and reading The New York Post.
